Tarpon Bay Sanibel Beach review

Tarpon Bay Beach

Review-Tarpon bay beach is one of the better locations to shell however keep in mind it is also one of the more congested areas.  With many hotels and condos along this stretch you do get a lot of people on the beach. Parking is slight walk (maybe .1 mile) down the road and you must cross Gulf Dr. to get to the beach.    I know this makes it sound like it might not be worth it but when shelling is good it really can be great here. There are restroom and outdoor showers at the beach access point and the handicap spots are also located at the beach access so people with disabilities do not have to walk the distance or cross road.  Meter parking $5.00 an hour unless you have a permit

Parking– 75 spots, 3 handicap (at beach), RV/oversize vehicle spots

Restrooms-Yes and outdoor showers

Vending– None

INSIDER TIP– With its central location and shared use path right along the access it is a great spot to park if looking to bike/rollerblade around the island.
