Fishing Blind Pass Sanibel Island
Fishing Blind Pass Sanibel Island
Here you can have it all. You can fish the bay, the Gulf, from the bridge, and from the rocks. Snook and sheepshead are abundant but really any fish is possible here. We have even seen some giant sharks reeled in here. With the current flowing through the pass, fish really congregate to this area as the bait fish are all around. Bring a cast net and catch some good size bait fish. If you walk back under the bridge from the beach and keep walking to the far side of the mangrove islands, you can run into some nice redfish. A jig bounced along the bottom or even a top water walking along the shoreline will draw a good strike. Make sure to come early as the parking here really does fill in quick. If you do experience a full lot, Bowman’s beach is just a couple miles back down Sanibel Captiva rd with a bigger lot.
